Description

At the start of each round one player draws a card, selects one of the ten words on the card (words like Troth, Underlay or Trapeze) and reads it aloud. Each player then announces how many words they think they can come up with that rhyme with the selected word. The player with the highest "bid" wins and is the rhymer for that round. The rhymer then has one minute (on a sand timer) to write down all of the rhymes they can. If they are able to write the correct number of words then they win a number of points equal to their bid. If they fail to write the correct number, they lose that many points. The first player to reach 500 points wins. In the case of a dispute, the game comes with an official rhyme dictionary for all of the words.

This game is so dull, So boring and dumb, Where you just sit around And suck your own thumb. There's no game to see here, Move on, go away! There are many better games To play this fine day.

I believe this is the first game I've rated a 1. At first I thought that the box art would keep the game from being rated too low. Secondly, I thought, "Any game with a 'rhyming ledger' can't be that bad. But then we started playing and it became clear. The whole game is pointless and is absolutely no fun. You can achieve the same thing by asking your friends, "How many words can you find that rhyme with 'boring'?"

I love the old school NBC games like Vegas, so I hate to trash it. However, there are so many glaring problems here that I'll just say they misfired on this one as the game is broken. Try Vegas instead and feel like a mogul!
