Description

"Excalibre Games Simulation of Atlantean Fantasy."

"Remnants of an ancient past, flee the path of their destruction."

"This 349 series simulation introduces Atlantis as a modern civilization with anti-gravity hovercraft, rockets, lasers and the ultimate weapon. Atlantis warlike and bent on conquest faces the combined but weaker forces of the ancient Greeks in the great sea and powerful Lemurian Empire of Mu in the Pacific. Allied with these forces are the 'gods' of Norse, Egyptian, Mayan and Pacific legends. Time is working against Atlantis, however, as the island is breaking up from strong natural disasters triggered by the use of an ultimate weapon -- so powerful it's use disrupts nature."

If MST3K did wargames... Greeks vs Atlantians in a bitter struggle for world dominance. Ludicrous, amateurish, and reviled, I'm proud to have this bit of cheese in my collection.

This is a good idea for a game, and a very, very bad actual game. Pitting Atlantis and its weird gods and technologies against the ancient Greeks is an interesting idea. But there's no real game here - just an odd map, some very strange counters and a semblance of rules.

Never played. Usual flimsy Excalibre components, and the rules need some work, but it looks like a very freaky and wide-open sci-fi game.

(3.08) P I have an OCD desire to see if the 'poorly rated' wargames are really that bad, so.... Unplayable. Atlanteans hopelessly outclass the Greeks et al. Ugly map and even uglier stripped counters. Unfixably broken.
