Description

Word Blind is a game where you place down tiles to create a board (or path) that you move your piece along. The tiles have different instructions on them. To be able to move your piece your are giving the first letter of the word you need to guess and one of the first of four definitions of the word. If you guess the word on the first meaning you get to move 4 spaces, with each additional definition you need you get to move one less space. If your piece runs out of spaces to move on, you place down additional tiles to continue the path.

The player the lands on the last tile wins the game.

Got it nearly for free, but it was barely worth it. Keep asking myself, that's the best they could do?

This game tries too hard. It tries to be innovative with the "build-your-own-board" and it tries too hard to be a word game. More refinement would have helped. Better core mechanics would help. An okay game at best. [GTI Code: TPSL]

The ending is always a letdown in this game. Having to land exactly on the end with the two forks in the path make it likely that the person doing the best in the game does not win. Perhaps this would be more fun if there was some other scoring method?

There's a good game in here somewhere, but large numbers initially seem to go nowhere. The "words" aspect works very well, but the board and movement stink. I've never played a game of this that hasn't been abandoned before it actually finished.

thrifted word fun only with house rules, rules as written are very boring

Can drag on for a very long time. Even word game lovers can tire of it.

Hmm, only played two rounds with 3 players(but I knew enough that there are similar but better games out there), and if forced to play ever again only with two. Has the element of Password, with a dull morphing board game feature whereby you try to win by landing on the last square played. Although I enjoy the concept of deducting a word from synonyms, this is presented poorly (no time pressure as in Taboo). Unless you're competitive, there is nothing of interest when it's not your turn.

Mediocre, at best. Not a compelling idea for a game, and the board doesn't add much.
