More groups, rules tweaks. All of these were incorporated into the final Deluxe version. My comments on Illuminati in general: "From years of gaming, Illuminati, in the totality of it's releases and variants, is the only game I have returned to. Can't get better subject matter or mechanics. It all but forces reflection on and conversation about modern western society. Should be far more popular than it is. The original 1987 deluxe edition could seriously stand a reprint (with the original art, which makes it far more accessible than the much more aggressive and less playful later Deluxe, Bavarian Fire Drill, Y2K, Mutually Assured Distraction and INWO.)"

I have Illuminati with all expansions. Now I only have to play it...

A crucial expansion for the original pocket box edition. Adds the Society of Assassins illuminati, as well as more groups and such.

I agree about the flimsy paper money. Almost impossible to pick up. LOCATION: GREEN/BLACK

Decent expansion.

Some new cards to laugh at and a new Illuminati, but in terms of game play it doesn't really change anything.

See Illuminati above - these expansions were all fine, if not very earth-shattering. Didn't tend to change the game too much, just added more options to the mix.

Good expansion for pocket edition. I have the Illuminati Deluxe edition and do not use the pocket edition anymore.

You want this expansion to make the base game better.

An unnecessary expansion for an unnecessary game. It adds another secret society along with several cards which don't change the game at all. Indeed, this expansion just adds a bunch of overpowered cards along with some crappy ones, so the almost nonexistent game balance breaks even more. I suppose that it will be fun for those who enjoy the original title but are tired of seeing the same cards time and time again. I don't recall ever buying this expansion set, but I suppose I must have, as the cards to it are mixed in with my originals. I don't know if they did this on purpose (it's hard to tell with those crafty Illuminati), but the Expansion set cards are a slightly brighter and glossier red, making it easy to pick them out of the deck. No idea what happened to the plastic case, but I've still got the rules that came with the cards. What I don't have, however, is the Society of Assassins Illuminati card that came with the expansion deck! I'm hoping it's floating around somewhere, but I might have to finnagle another one from somebody.

Adds the Society of Assassins Illuminatus, and another two dozen group and special cards. More is always better.

I think the two original expansions are essentially part of the base game.

Those were the days. Make money with an expansion even if it makes the game shit.

I don't see any reason to play the original SJ Illuminati without this expansion.
